Ranieri refuses to cry foul over penalties
Champions Leicester City were shocked by managerless Hull as the curtains of the English Premier League were raised last Saturday.

Arsenal defensive duo Laurent Koscielny and Rob Holding didn’t think Leicester deserved to be awarded the two penalties they were appealing for during the goalless draw between the two clubs on Saturday.
Danny Drinkwater went down under a lunging tackle from Laurent Koscielny in the 43rd minute and Ahmed Musa’s lively cameo from the bench featured an untidy challenge from Hector Bellerin on the Nigeria global in the box. We have been in the market a long time but if you look around in Europe, all my friends I call are all looking for centre-backs but they can not find them.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says he is a “bit fed up” with all the questions and demands ahead of the last few weeks of the summer transfer window. “He didn’t whistle, so it wasn’t”.
Xhaka sent a long-range effort wide and Oxlade-Chamberlain had a strike blocked either side of Koscielny escaping punishment for a desperate lunge on Drinkwater in the box, as a lifeless half threatened to ignite during its closing moments.
But Ranieri remained optimistic, saying “It was a good performance”. The result is good.
“They kept more possession, they were very unsafe but not with a clear chance”.
Indeed, Arsenal have won 12 and lost none of their last 18 against the Foxes who are suffering for the loss of N’Golo Kante to Chelsea.
“I thought that the whole back four played well and he guided the defence very well”, he added.
But the 25-year-old limped out of last weekend’s game just 15 minutes into the second half after suffering his fourth hamstring injury since September 2014. The ankle twists a little. If I buy you tomorrow for £45m, I have spent £45m, and I would have done well because I will have listened to you, but spending the money in itself is not a quality. I am happy when I have this position, a lot of players.

Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck is reportedly ahead of schedule in his recovery from a serious knee injury and could play again before the end of 2016. It’s definitely going to be very interesting to see how Britain’s #1 and #2 will look matched up after the summer – and whether we’re in for anything similar like the ride of 15/16.
