Ranieri: Rivals don’t believe we can win the title
Leicester City won 1-0 at Tottenham Hotspur to rekindle their unlikely Premier League title challenge and draw level at the top with Arsenal, who conceded a late goal to draw 3-3 at Liverpool.

Leicester City’s Danny Drinkwater, center, goes to clear the ball under pressure from Tottenham Hotspur’s Toby Alderweireld during their English Premier League soccer match between Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City at the White Hart Lane stadium in London Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016. Today, they’re playing for the Barclays Premier League season standings.
Leicester already have 43 points on the board, overtaking their points tally from last season (41) with 17 games to spare.
Leicester rank second in the Premier League for long passes, with only West Brom having played more and Vertonghen said: “Everyone knows what their qualities are”.
Leicester drew 0-0 with Bournemouth and Manchester City in their previous two league games.
“We come out of the game with a lot of positive but still some regrets”, said Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who added that some of his players were carrying “bad memories” from their 5-1 defeat by Liverpool at the same ground in 2014.
However, manager Claudio Ranieri continues to play down expectations, last night telling reporters: “Unfortunately it’s January, not May”.
The Belgium global, however, dismissed suggestions Spurs will be out for revenge next week, preferring to focus on Saturday’s Premier League match against struggling Sunderland.
“I’m very disappointed, but I think they deserve to finish in the place that they are”, said the Argentinian, when asked if he though Ranieri’s side could maintain their form.
“We always say it – the character of the group is probably our biggest strength”.
“Everyone says Spurs need another striker to be a genuine title threat but I’m not so sure”, Mills told Sportslobster.
An end-to-end match at Anfield that started in the rain and finished in the snow got a fitting conclusion when substitute Joe Allen steered home the late volley that salvaged a point for Liverpool. “We created a lot of chances and it’s not only with Mahrez and Vardy”. Both sides looked to accept a goalless draw until an unmarked Huth gave his side the three points following Christian Fuchs’ corner.
The Argentinian manager lamented the number of chances that Tottenham missed but claims the result will not change his quiet transfer plans for the current transfer window. “I felt we had an apprehensive start. We were missing something at set-pieces and we had chances to score”.
