Ranieri staying calm on Leicester title hopes
The Foxes shocked Manchester City to go five points clear at the summit with a 3-1 victory on Saturday, but Arsenal ensured they kept pace with a 2-0 win over Bournemouth to go level on points with second-place Tottenham. “I want to be part of it for a long time”, Vardy said on the club website on Saturday.

They “can no longer portray themselves as being on a fantasy ride with nothing to lose at the end – there should now be disappointment if they do not win the title”, he adds.
Leicester manager Ranieri, whose even-tempered approach has been one of the highlights of his team’s unexpected success story, made light of their new and unfamiliar position.
“A lot of people, including Pellegrini, says this is happening because all the Premier League teams have a lot of money now and can buy top players. What they experienced last season may help because it was a big pressure for them”, said the former Inter Milan FC handler.
England striker Jamie Vardy has signed a new contract with Premier League leaders Leicester City that will keep him at the club until June 2019.
Was the result more important than the performance?… “But we are alive, and we want to fight and we go there to continue our dream”.
“Never did I blame them or anyone if we conceded a goal because they did this or that”.
Huth opened the scoring from a third-minute Mahrez free-kick and headed in Leicester’s third goal from a Christian Fuchs corner on the hour after Mahrez had darted through the ragged City defence to make it 2-0. Naturally I believe in training, and this might seem like heresy in Italy, but I also feel it’s all relative.
“We need to be calm”.
“It’s going to be a good, entertaining game”.
“We’ll just continue to do exactly the same thing we’ve done all season”. We have only lost one game but we had not won for four games and of course that was on our mind.
“It was our chance at home to recover the lead in the table”. We couldn’t do it, now we are six points behind Leicester and have another 39 points to play for.
The team that began the campaign at 5,000-1 no hopers are now 2-1 to beat Arsenal, Man City and Spurs to the title.
Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri said: “Jamie is a fighter”. “Sometimes we sit at the dinner table and I am frightened at how much they eat”.
