Ranieri to keep eye on returning Leicester star Vardy

“When we drew against United and City my players weren’t happy”.

After four goals in 15 minutes in an error-strewn but thrilling first half, it looked like Olivier Giroud’s excellent solo goal in the 55th minute would preserve Arsenal’s two-point advantage at the top.

It’s another packed weekend of Premier League action and Paddy Power are offering up a range of special odds exclusively available to new customers.

He told Spurs TV: “We gave our all and created chances”. We knew they would do that.

Given the complex and competitive nature of the division this season Spurs will be desperate not to slip out of the Champions League positions, having worked so hard to reach them.

“Hopefully, we are not going to have to regret this goal at the end of the championship”, said Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, who scored two of his team’s goals.

Leicester have been handed a welcome boost with Jamie Vardy returning to training after recovering from injury but it remains to be seen whether the league’s top scorer will be deemed fit enough to start. But we know if we score they have to come out more and it’s the same thing over and over. Arsenal was able to get a point at Anfield against Liverpool in an entertaining 3-3 draw but this result had a sour taste for Wenger’s men as they were up 3-2 before conceding the equalizer. Now they taste the cake at the top of the table and the difference is very high.

Speaking about how that result may affect tonight’s game, King claimed: “We can take confidence from our performance on Sunday – hopefully we can put in another good one tonight”.

Vardy, who had just returned from minor groin surgery, has managed just one goal and six shots on target in his last seven games, after scoring in a record 11 straight Premier League matches.

However, this does not mean that Vardy would be brought straight back to the starting XI by manager Claudio Ranieri. the Italian would probably ease the Englishman back into the team, and is set to start with Okazaki and Ulloa on Wednesday night.

“It is important he is very attentive in our defence”.

“We need to try to win the next game”.

“Okay, we went to Tottenham and won, which is not easy but now it’s important how we change our mindset and get ready to fight again”.
