Ranieri switched his formation from 4-4-2 to 4-5-1 to contain the visitors but still ended up chasing victory in a tight game.
“Leicester are top of the table because they deserve to be”. The first half of the season is magnificent and I don’t have words to say how happy I am. It is hard I know.
“The bigger teams should be able to stay away from us but we are there and we would love to stay there”.
Manchester City remain third in the Premier League standings, three points behind Leicester and Arsenal, who are top on goal difference. “I don’t want to talk about this decision because I didn’t see the incident”.
“We have done extremely well and set a standard for ourselves now that we want to keep and maintain. I think at the end the draw is right”.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admits that there is no doubt that Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has been the player of the season so far.
As a result of the hectic schedule, Howe has confirmed his players have not trained in order to protect them.
But the canny Italian has warned the Foxes to avoid a hangover when they face Bournemouth on Saturday.
Ranieri said: “I think we made a very good match”.
“Believe me, the next match against Bournemouth [this Saturday] will be more hard. Why?”
“Vincent has an injury, second degree on his calf so we’ll see how many weeks he will be out”.
“Both of them are performing very well but I don’t think they can do it if the whole team are not having a good performance”, the former Real Madrid manager said.
“I am not a doctor but normally with a muscle injury less than three or four weeks is very hard, especially on the calf”. It is fantastic what we’re doing.
“We had more possession and attempts than Leicester, but if you can’t win it’s important not to lose against a hard team like they are”.
