Belgium as expected top the rankings and are now officially the best side in the world.

Wales have slid out of the top ten of the Federation Internationale de Football Association rankings to 15th – and back below old enemy England – despite securing their historic place in Euro 2016.

Meanwhile, Northern Ireland are sitting pretty in the unfamiliar territory of 29th place having qualified automatically for Euro 2016, their first major tournament since 1986 in what will also be their first ever outing at a European Championships.

Belgium, who finished above Wales in qualifying Group B, are number one in the rankings for the first time after moving up two places ahead of Germany and previous leaders Argentina.

However, returned to the Hammers bench, Randolph – who started in the defeat to Poland – could face competition from a fit again Westwood as the former Ireland No1 has been in good form for Sheffield Wednesday of late.

Given has not featured for club or country since limping off during Ireland’s 1-0 win over world champions Germany last month in Dublin. Points are determined by a formula based on the match result, the importance of the match, the strength of the opposition and the strength of the confederation.
