It is pertinent to mention here that film actor and producer Aamir Khan ceased to be the face of Incredible India, the signature advertising campaign for the tourism ministry to promote India globally.

Several commentators as well as sympathetic supporters of ruling BJP have pointed this out.
The actor is set to replace Aamir Khan as brand ambassador of the company after the agency refused to renew Khan’s contract over intolerance comments a year ago.
“It was the [private] agency which hired him”.
However on Saturday, Tiwari denied he had called Aamir a traitor. While Aamir was only part of the whole campaign, Big B would be wholly responsible of the campaign.
