Ranveer Singh Is All Set To Play His First Real Negative Role
Ranveer Singh might be the hottest property in Bollywood among his contemporaries, and he’s ensuring that it stays that way by measuring each step forward.

Hrithik Roshan in the past has worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Guzaarish – a performance which won him a lot of critical acclaim.
But, as per the recent buzz, Bhansali is no more in a mood to cast Ranveer in his magnum opus and has reportedly chose to replace him with Hrithik Roshan.
Having said that, a small credit of Ranveer’s success is also due to director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, with whom the actor has done two commercially successful films – “Ram Leela” and “Bajirao Mastani”. While Deepika Padukone is believed to have been roped in for the titular role, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh will reportedly play the male leads in the period film. SLB has given him some superb dialogues and scenes.
The film is based on Mughal ruler Khilji and his obsession with Rajput King Raja Rawal Ratan Singh’s wife Rani Padmavati (to be played by Deepika Padukone).
Looks like Ranveer doesn’t want to leave it to fate, as playing a negative character will be directly against his good boy image amongst fans and the audience.
“Shahid agreed once his role became well-defined and he and Ranveer were on an equal footing”. “To be fair, Ranveer has every right to ask to see the script when there is another hero in the film”.
According to the media reports, Singh had asked Bhansali for a narration of the “Padmavati” script, which in turn hurt the latter’s ego.

The movie is slated to hit the big screen in December 2017.
