At 10:40 p.m., Future tweeted that he would not be dissuaded. Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies were called out when the crowd became rowdy at about 1 p.m., when wristbands were handed out for the show.
The venue announced via Twitter about 4 p.m. that the show had been canceled. The deputies shutdown Sunset Blvd between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard, around 2 p.m. local time, according to the report. When doors opened around 10 p.m., unruly fans began to bum rush through the doors.
As indicated by KTLA, the House of Blues show was also eventually cancelled.
At about 6 p.m., Future said he’d moved the show to the nearby House of Blues, promising entry to the first 800 people to line up.
The concert is the last in Future’s series of “Salute the Fans” shows. Future performed tracks off his new record for a capacity crowd (the club holds 500, reported by its website) with a continued police and fire presence on Hollywood Boulevard just outside the nightclub.
Cops got out their riot guns when people started pouring onto Sunset Blvd… smack in the middle of the Strip.
