Police say Collins, who was shot in the leg, was seen on surveillance footage firing a gun.

Collins accidentally shot himself in the firefight, which claimed the life of his bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter, after he suffered a gunshot wound to the stomach.
The motive for shooting McPhatter is still unclear, but Collins reportedly had a dispute with Maino, who had just finished performing at the event with Uncle Murda.
Collins has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a gun, with a murder charge possible once a police probe is finished.
He tweeted: “My heart is heavy today”.

By the time the craziness was over, one person was left dead and four others were injured, including Troy Ave. The NYPD is looking into whether the shooting was linked to a fight between crews associated with Maino and Troy Ave.
Meanwhile across town, Rose McPhatter, the mother of Banga (real name Ronald “Edgar” McPhatter), slammed Troy Ave for his alleged actions. The shooting broke out in the green room Wednesday night as hip-hop artist T.I. was getting ready to perform at Irving Plaza, near Manhattan’s Union Square.
A suspect has yet to be identified, and NY homicide police are trying to find out how the gunman gained entrance to the venue with a weapon.
Police said there were metal detectors at the Irving Plaza but are investigating whether they were used.

Police say one of the victims, 34-year-old Christopher Vinson, was shot in the chest on the venue’s ground level after a bullet traveled through the floor. Two other victims were shot and hospitalized as well.
