The frustration boiled over to the point that Pistons center Andre Drummond and Raptors forward James Johnson had a physical confrontation late in the game.

Andre Drummond is not great at free throws. Drummond finished with 12 points.

The 3-point bucket closed the gap on the Raptors to 70-65 in Toronto’s favour at the end of three quarters.

The Raptors, who have now won 14 of their last 15 games to pull within two games of Cleveland for the best record in the Eastern Conference, hit 11 of 20 from the 3-point line. Myles Turner added 14 points and 13 rebounds on a night the Pacers (28-24) blew a 17-point second-half lead, then scored nine straight points for the win. The Pistons’ lowest-scoring quarter this season is the third quarter, when they average 23.8; and it also is the highest-scoring quarter for opponents, who average 25.6 points in third quarters. Toronto ended up winning the game 103-89.

Lowry has emerged as the leader of the team and as the point guard, he is displaying excellent court vision and leadership without sacrificing his personal productivity.

Toronto led by as many as 21 points. The Raptors had only two offensive rebounds but shot 56 percent from the field and did a good job getting back when they missed. “We come out from the locker room (slowly) and they just take advantage of it”.

“This team is playing for playoff position, and we had just as many fans here as they did”, Raptors coach Dwane Casey said. Ross has scored in double figures eight times in the last 11 games and the Raptors are 15-4 when he scores 10 or more.
