Five tornadoes were reported in Texas and one in Oklahoma on Saturday, the National Weather Service said.
At least 23 people were also injured in Rowlett, but no deaths were reported in that area.

Storms hit southern and central USA states over the Christmas holiday, unleashing floods and tornadoes that killed at least 41 people, flattened buildings and snarled transportation for millions during a busy travel time.
Flash floods have killed at least 13 people in Missouri and IL.
The new figure brings the total estimate of damaged homes in Texas to as many as 1,450.
“There are reports of many people injured and we’re working with the fire department to dispatch them out to where fires have been reported”, Garland PD’s Pedro Barineau said.
Natalie Guzman, 33, took photos of her family’s home in a Garland neighborhood. The tornado ripped the roof off and the walls were stripped down. The only part of the house that appeared to be spared was the master bathroom, where her brother-in-law took shelter Saturday night with his dogs.
“I think everyone understands now the gravity of what happened”, Anita Foster, spokeswoman for American Red Cross of North Texas, told WFAA-TV on Saturday.
The tornadoes that roared through Texas reached as high as an EF-4 classification, with winds reaching 175 miles per hour, Oram said.
“A variety of risky weather conditions will continue across the middle of the country through Sunday”, the National Weather Service said.
In several suburbs, emergency responders spent Saturday evening searching for residents in homes and surveying the damage. In some instances, it looked like homes had been picked up and set back down in a big pile. State troopers were blocking off roads, utility crews were restoring power and people were walking around hushed and dazed.
Authorities said eight people were killed amid severe flooding in Missouri, including four foreign soldiers temporarily stationed at Fort Leonard Wood.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in Austin declared a disaster in four counties, including Dallas County, which covers Garland, and Rockwall County, which covers Rowlett. Officials also shut down a stretch of Interstate 40 leading to the Texas border because of hazardous driving conditions. According to the update, there are at least 8,000 power outages around the state, with the most being in Lawton, about 90 miles southwest of Oklahoma City. In Missouri, emergency workers had evacuated residents from homes and conducted dozens of water rescues, Governor Jay Nixon said on Sunday. He says the bodies were those of two people authorities had been searching for since tornadoes touched down Wednesday.
Three adults and two children drowned in southern IL when a vehicle carrying them was swept away as a result of heavy rain.

The storm system – while still powerful – was moving east and northeast and was expected to diminish in severity by Monday.
