Mourinho said that there is still a lot of work for his team to do and that his players will have to cope better with the pressure of expectat ” on. Perhaps his glory days are behind him, but one thing is for sure, Rooney can do better and should pull up his socks.

ESPN FC’s Craig Burley talks about what Jose Mourinho needs to do to right the ship at Manchester United.

Mourinho spent £150 million ($195.6 million) in the summer, including a world record fee to bring Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford. Watford did a phenomenal match, but they were also lucky. The player has been accused of failing to concentrate on his football career and instead diverting his attention to living a flashy lifestyle.

Mourinho was visibly upset with Shaw, whom he substituted immediately after his side fell behind in the second half. Juan Mata came just after the hour-mark yesterday, while Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick were both left on the bench.

The slide began with a 1-2 derby defeat against cross-town rivals Manchester City, which was followed by a 0-1 loss against Dutch side Feyenoord in the Europa League.
