Rashford makes England squad for Euro 2016
The Ridiculous Rise of Marcus Rashford continues today with the news that he has made Roy Hodgson’s final 23-man England squad for the 2016 European Championship in France.

Rashford netted just three minutes into his global debut in England’s 2-1 win over Australia last Friday.
Manchester and England starlet Marcus Rashford will be lucky to make a single appearance at Euro 2016, according to Harry Redknapp.
England begin their campaign against Russian Federation in Marseille on 11 June, and will also play Wales and Slovakia as they battle to progress from Group B to the knockout phase.
Questions over the 26-year-old’s place in the squad were compounded by 18-year-old Marcus Rashford’s goalscoring debut, but Sturridge worked over the weekend and trained with the group on Monday. That display ratcheted up the pressure on Daniel Sturridge, but he too got the nod despite being the only member of the squad not to appear in either of the preparation matches.
Three Lions boss Hodgson axed Danny Drinkwater and Andros Townsend from his squad after making the heartbreaking decision to leave the pair at home.
‘I’ve said through the last two years that I’m really excited to play in this team, and nothing’s changed.
“I was very happy with the 26, I was delighted with the way the three guys who didn’t get selected for the final 23 worked and yesterday was a hard day for me having to tell them they weren’t going to be in the final 23”.
“Drinkwater has had a magnificent season for Leicester, would have been full of confidence after their title win, and I do not think he deserves to be left out”. He’s shown what he can do at worldwide level.
He added he was happy he had so many good players to put on the field.
“Townsend will feel unlucky because he’s had a great finish to the season, despite Newcastle getting relegated”. ‘I am not prepared to say the side that starts tomorrow will start versus Russian Federation’.

Fabian Delph, the Manchester City midfielder, had previously dropped out of the squad due to a groin problem.
