Raven-Symoné left co-host Whoopi Goldberg speechless Friday on “The View” as she admitted she wouldn’t hire someone with a “ghetto black name”.
The African-American host and former “Cosby” kid said if not hiring someone with a name like that was discriminatory, then that description fit her. But the comedian was shocked where the “That’s So Raven” star went next. It’s just not going to happen.
The hot topic this morning was “Are you judged by your name?” Nicole Wallace poignantly asked her, “Are you really that famous?” after Symoné complained on air that her hand cramps after signing too many autographs for fans.
“I’m very discriminatory against the words like the ones they were saying in those names”, she said.
We have to agree, Raven-Symoné is a few kind of name isn’t it?
Whoopi Goldberg clutched her proverbial pearls and looked at the audience in befuddlement.
