Ravens’ Dumervil, Perriman off PUP list

Ravens linebacker Elvis Dumervil and receiver Breshad Perriman practiced Monday for the first time this summer. Despite this good news, Perriman is still not getting in full practices, although he took part in the team’s walk-through drills.

“It’s very exciting”, coach John Harbaugh told ESPN of the inclusion of Perriman, who was selected with the 26th overall pick of the 2015 draft. He didn’t offer a prediction for when Perriman will be fully cleared, but Harbaugh did not rule out the possibility that he could play in Baltimore’s third preseason game against the Detroit Lions on Saturday.

Perriman’s career hasn’t been much better after he missed his rookie season with a knee injury and then suffered another one this offseason.

While many fans have grown impatient waiting for Perriman to get healthy, teammates describe him as a soft-spoken, caring player who desperately wants to get his National Football League career underway. “If he can play, he will play”.

“He’s in great spirits”, Harbaugh said. He has worked extremely hard.

Perriman is running well, which was an indication to Harbaugh that he was close to returning. I think he’s really grown through all of this. “I’m looking forward to seeing how he looks when he comes back”. He passed his physical and was activated from the physically unable to perform list yesterday.
