As Tampa Bay takes the field for this evening’s Pride Night, the Rays will not only be standing in solidarity with the victims of Orlando’s mass shooting at an LGBT nightclub last weekend, but will be honoring them with their uniforms as well.

A Rays spokesman wouldn’t disclose the amount of $5 tickets sold over the past day, but told The Huffington Post on Wednesday that the response has been “overwhelming”.

Equality Florida, a partner in the Rays’ annual Pride Night and organizers of the official GoFundMe campaign, announced on Tuesday that the Pulse Victims Fund had broken the previous GoFundMe donation record of $2 million.

The New England Patriots and the San Francisco Giants, the Rays’ opponents on Friday night.
