Rea injured in Miami debut, Marlins win 11-0
Kolten Wong is 5-for-9 in the last two contests for St. Louis, which is 9-4 over its last 13 games.TV: 1:10 p.m. ET, TBS, FSN Midwest (St. Louis), FSN Florida (Miami) PITCHING MATCHUP: Cardinals RH Carlos Martínez (10-6, 2.87 ERA) vs. Marlins RH Andrew Cashner (4-7, 4.76) Martinez gave up two runs and five hits over five innings against the Mets in NY to stretch his winning streak to three games. The Marlins acquired Cashner from the Padres on Friday and, coincidentally, continued a four-game series against the Cardinals that night. He didn’t walk anyone and gave up just four hits, including a Greg Garcia home run.

Rea initially felt a pain in his arm during warmups before the game, but tried to pitch through it.
“I’m not sure. I’m hoping it’s nothing serious”, he said Sunday morning.
Andrew Cashner allowed one earned run in six innings in his debut for the Marlins. “But we don’t know anything yet”.
Cashner was in line for the victory until the Cardinals made it 4-all with two runs in the eighth off Fernando Rodney, and the tying run scored on an ugly throwing error by shortstop Hechavarria.
Monday: Marlins LHP Adam Conley (7-5, 3.38 ERA) vs. Cubs RHP Kyle Hendricks (9-7, 2.39 ERA), 8:05 p.m., Wrigley Field. “It was a long couple of days”.
“‘O’ puts us up by four early and then we were able to add on, which is nice because they have a unsafe club that can put some runs on the board quick”, Marlins manager Don Mattingly said.
The Marlins scored four runs in the first, sparked by Ozuna’s two-run home run – his 19th. Suzuki went 2 for 17 on the Marlins’ homestand while starting just twice. “That was a pretty nice sign that things should be OK, but we’ll wait to see what the medical team says”. I think the Cardinals have the edge with Martinez but I rarely put money on this team…
Prado went 2 for 4 and is hitting.485 (16 for 33) with two home runs and nine RBIs over his last nine games to raise his average to.327.
Ozuna hit a two-run double in the first inning that deflected off the glove of lunging left fielder Jeremy Hazelbaker.
“He’s swinging at some balls out of the strike zone, which is a little bit not like him”, manager Don Mattingly said. Cardinals 2B Matt Carpenter (right oblique) will begin a rehab assignment on Sunday at Double-A Springfield.
Tom Koehler is also dealing with a pectoral muscle issue and his next start has already been pushed to Wednesday in Chicago.
Rea went 5-5 with a 4.98 ERA in 18 starts (19 appearances) for the Padres this season and went 2-2 with a 4.26 ERA in six starts as a rookie last season.

Phelps, who has 59 career starts, delivered 2 and 2/3 scoreless innings with four strikeouts on 55 pitches.
