He said: “This year has been an incredible highlight for Reading and Leeds“.

This was in the middle of what was a masterclass in music as the band stormed through hit after hit splashed with some new tunes from their latest album.

The band headlined Reading Festival last night (August 29) and delivered a two-hour headline set which featured a stage full of fans, pyrotechnics and a setlist packed with their best known songs. The Metallica stage presentation is absolutely spectacular. Foals snuck into the festival to set the NME/BBC Radio 1 Stage ablaze with cuts from their newly released album “What Went Down”. “We already have one headliner secured”.

Leeds Festival music fans are excited by the prospect of seeing The Wombats on the final night of the 2015 event. DJ EZ, Oneman and Luke Mowberry, the victor of the prestigious “Here To Be Heard” DJ competition were just some of the DJs to bring the noise and get the party started.

THE Leeds Festival this year will not so much be remembered for what it had but more for what it did not have, namely mud.

Back for the second year, The Pit hosted by Daniel P Carter was buzzing with Refused’s incendiary headline set being a standout moment of the weekend.

Speaking before Metallica took to the stage, festival director Melvin Benn said: “It has been unbelievable – it could not have been better, and tonight we have a huge band for us”.
