‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 8 trailer: Kim Fields joins Kandi Burruss

Porsha Stewart, for whom making sense is not a high priority, was the first to bait her, coming for her straightaway: “Honey if we weren’t born and you weren’t famous to me ’cause I don’t even know who you were”.

Kim Fields must have decided “if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em” and she leaped right into the world of reality television.

NeNe announced back in June that she wouldn’t be a series regular on Season 8 of RHOA, but that she might come back to RHOA as an occasional guest star. “Looking forward to a great season!!”

Fields will be joining Cynthia Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Phaedra Parks and Porsha Williams.

Kenya gets her groove going as she dances at a party in a riveting red dress.

Fields comes on board following the departure of original cast member NeNe Leakes and the return of Sheree Whitfield after a three-year hiatus. She chose to leave and focus on her spinoff with Kim Zolciak and new TV project with a “big legend”. Real Housewives released a trailer for the forthcoming season featuring Fields on Monday.

Premiering immediately after at 9pm ET/PT is season two of “Untying the Knot” with celebrity divorce attorney and expert mediator Vikki Ziegler as she travels the country using her distinct brand of honest, empathetic and to-the-point communication to help couples “divorce with dignity” through mediation.

Sheree’s return also promises a lot of drama as she and Kenya are about to stir the pot and reignite old feuds, while Cynthia and Peter’s marriage goes through a rough patch when a video of Peter getting too close to another woman makes the rounds online.

It’s hard to tell just how this season as a whole is going to fare, but we do have to say that the trailer below is basically exactly what we expected from this franchise.
