In April, Joe Giudice was sentenced by Passaic County Superior Court Judge Adam E. Jacobs for possession of a fraudulent driver’s license, which carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
Teresa Giudice has officially swapped her prison cell for her warm New Jersey home.
The star is technically free from been confined in the prison, but she will still be under home confinement until February 5.
The reality show star and her husband pleaded guilty to 41 counts of fraud in March previous year.
The star reportedly wanted to look ready for the cameras on her release and spent most of her time doing her make-up and hair, before changing into clothes her lawyer had brought her from home.
Teresa Giudice may be home for the holidays.
Her eldest daughter, Gia, couldn’t contain her excitement tweeting “Welcome back” with a blushing emoji early Wednesday morning.
Giudice has been in prison since January. She is not in a halfway house, nor will she be reporting to one.
Gia welcomed her mother home on Twitter, writing, “Welcome back”. They admitted hiding assets from bankruptcy creditors and submitting phony loan applications to get some $5 million in mortgages and construction loans.
The family will spend Christmas together before Joe starts his own prison sentence.

Us Weekly stated that the couple’s sentences were taken aback for their daughter’s sake. Because Joe, who was born in Italy, never became an American citizen, he could be forced to leave the country, as fraud is one of the crimes that are grounds for deportation.
