Real Madrid not sure about Zinedine Zidane’s future

Real Madrid will be hoping that some of Gareth Bale’s magic at the Giuseppe Meazza stadium will rub off on the rest of the team when they face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final at the stadium on Saturday.

Carlo Ancelotti led Madrid to their 10th Champions League success, beating Atletico 4-1 in the 2013 final after extra time, and Ramos says the French icon is comparable with the Italian tactician.

“Atletico will be alert as a result of what happened two years ago”. Four years ago I wasn’t happy here but now I am and I can’t think of a better club to be at than Real Madrid, there’s no team like it.

The midfielder, who has played and scored in numerous El Clasico matches, added that Real Madrid have the slight advantage of more final experience to draw upon: “The favourite in terms of history could be Real Madrid, as they have more experience in finals and these situations”.

Although Torres won the Champions League with Chelsea and two European Championships and the World Cup with Spain, he said all those triumphs would pale by comparison to Atletico becoming kings of Europe.

“I feel more integrated, I have more personal relationships with my team-mates and that always gives you more happiness and that reflects on my game”.

The contrast in style between Zidane and Simeone’s teams is evident as the former is more of an offensive juggernaut while the latter thrives on limiting their opponents’ chances. “I will watch it at home in Barcelona, and am looking forward to seeing that final”.

But he must first emerge unscathed from Saturday’s final with Atletico Madrid. We speak. He speaks English which is good for me.

“I hope he’s the person to put United back on track as it pains me to see how they’ve been in recent times”.

“I wouldn’t exchange them”, he said.

“‘Zizou’ took the team at a moment where it was the best solution for the club”, the 45-year-old said. We know there will be very few opportunities because they all play behind the ball.

Since that day, Real have won their final 12 league games, although they rarely matched those early performances.
