Real Madrid overcome Real Sociedad 3-0
No secret that Cristiano Ronaldo is not on good terms with a portion of Real Madrid fans anymore. The “merengues” were doing well in all of their competitions.

Barcelona’s La Liga title challenge suffered a huge blow as the Spanish champions were controversially held 1-1 at Real Betis despite Luis Suarez’s last minute equaliser on Sunday. Zidane’s side also has a game in hand on both its title rivals. Today’s win against Real Sociedad could be a momentum changer.
They lost another game a further three days later to Celta Vigo at home before beating Malaga – their first win in four games – and securing a draw against Celta again – bowing out on aggregate. It also serves as a means for Real Madrid fans to connect and discuss the team.
Barca thought they had equalised with ten minutes to play after German Pezzella diverted a cross towards his own net and Aissa Mandi cleared.
The Madrid faithful have voiced increasing discontent over recent weeks, with four-time Ballon d’Or victor Cristiano Ronaldo among those to feel their wrath, during a run of one win in five across all competitions. “The most consistent team at the end will win. The second half of the season is now starting and we have to have the same consistency we have had up till now”.
There are, however, plenty of reasons to be anxious, not least a lengthy injury list which has deprived suddenly under-pressure boss Zinedine Zidane of several key players, including marauding full-backs Marcelo and Dani Carvajal, defensive rock Pepe, midfield playmaker Luka Modric and attacking dynamo Gareth Bale.
Madrid bounced back from their Copa exit by beating Real Sociedad 3-0 in LaLiga on Sunday, and Carvajal acknowledged the importance of quickly returning to winning ways. There are other reasons to be positive, mainly that Gareth Bale is coming back from injury.
Real Madrid is unbeaten in 29 of their last 30 games (La Liga).
