The France global, who will take part in his country’s Euro 2016 clash with Portugal in Sunday’s final, has emerged as a transfer target for the Red Devils following the appointment of Jose Mourinho as their new manager.

Manchester United have “reached an agreement” with the agent of Paul Pogba to pay the Frenchman £11.5m-a-year if he completes a world-record £100m switch from Juventus.

And it appears that Manchester United’s path to sign Pogba is clearing further after Real Madrid reportedly ended their interest in the midfielder for economic reasons.

The Sun on Sunday claimed Jose Mourinho is ready to let EIGHT players (their capitals) go to accommodate the talent, wages, reputation and expectations that come with Paul Pogba.

He left United for free in 2012 to join Juventus, where he has blossomed into a star. A combination of injuries and lack of adaptation to the EPL style of football has made the 31-year-old a dispensable player in the United ranks. In fact, it’s Raiola who’s pushing the deal with United as he’s primed to net 20 per cent of any Pogba transfer.

He’s an exceptional talent and would definitely help inject quality into our midfield while teaming up with new signings Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly at Old Trafford.

In his opening United news conference, manager Jose Mourinho said he had sealed three of his four major transfer objectives, with one-time United midfielder Pogba strongly linked with a return.
