Honestly, I have to say he is right- as I have played more and more of No Man’s Sky, I have liked it more and more, but I have also come to realize that it requires a very specific kind of mindset and a specific kind of person to enjoy the game.

A word of warning though: the pre-order ship can cause a possible game-breaking glitch as it allows you to skip part of the tutorial offering the blueprint for how to build a hyperdrive – an absolutely essential item in the game.
One reason some players could be confused if they had or not, is that the ship names displayed in-game were incorrect.
The Alpha Vector ship is named Domanish S84 in-game, and (in the US) the Rezosu AZ65 is named Final Shadow XIV in game. In fact, Murray’s outlook on the issue of fans potentially being dissatisfied with the space exploration game echoes some earlier sentiments of his that he mentioned just prior to its launch.
“The game already detects the player needs a hyperdrive and directs them to a nearby NPC who will give the player the hyperdrive they need”.

He also yesterday hinted that the ability to discover other players while exploring the universe is still possible, following reports that two players arranged to meet up on the same planet and weren’t able to see each other.
