Rebooted ‘Daily Show’ Adds Three Correspondents, Retains Many Key Players From

Jon Stewart is no longer the host of The Daily Show.

That’s the question asked in the latest promo for the Comedy Central late-night show, which will be hosted by Trevor Noah beginning September 28.

Comedy Central posted a new show promo on the “Daily Show” Facebook page Tuesday (Sept. 1) which features 30 seconds of merry banter about the show’s format between Noah and correspondents Jessica Williams, Hasan Minhaj and Jordan Klepper.

Chieng is a standup comedian born in Malaysia and raised in Manchester, New Hampshire and Singapore. He won Best Newcomer at the Melbourne global Comedy Festival in 2012, is a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe and Montreal Just for Laughs festivals, and has opened for Dave Chappelle and Bill Burr during their Australian tour stops. He made his stateside debut on The Late Late Show.

Lydic has appeared in comedies on TV and in film. He has been called “A Standout” by The Hollywood Reporter, andEntertainment Weekly described his comedic style as “charismatic crankiness”. Wood (@roywoodjr) most recently starred on “Sullivan and Son” (TBS) and regularly appears on “Conan” and ESPN’s “SportsNation“. The comedian also took third place on NBC’s Last Comic Standing in 2010.

He had been due return to Australia, but will now join The Daily Show’s list of correspondents who put together field pieces or commentary segments for the program.

Noah’s first show is scheduled for September 28, 2015.
