“The way I’ve managed is by being really disciplined and sticking to a rota”. Students have worked incredibly hard and today is the culmination of all their efforts.
The results this year build on the achievements of last year as Etone Sixth Form continues to move from strength to strength.
Julian McInerney, Chair of Governors added: “I’d like to congratulate all students and staff, whose hard work and commitment has produced such impressive results”.
“This proves categorically, that KGV should be the first choice for all Advanced Level study in the Southport area”.

Head of Sixth Form James Miles said he was delighted with results considering curriculum changes that were introduced this year.
Other students will be moving on to a range of other destinations with their outstanding results. We wish all our learners the very best of luck with their next step and these results have given them a fantastic springboard on to whatever they want to do next, whether that’s university, an Apprenticeship or employment. We know already that many of our learners will go on to a huge variety of universities and courses, and of course, we have our own university centre here, which many will choose on the back of its recent Higher Education Review, judging it best in the region.
There were similar high marks recorded at the Stephen Perse Foundation, where 100 per cent of students scooped A*-C grades.
“I had a conditional offer from Oxford for maths but have not yet heard whether I have a confirmed place but I’m positive whatever happens I will end up doing maths at a very good university”.
Nikki Sendell, Vice Principal, said, “This is a tremendous result, reflective of all the hard work our learners and staff have put in and we’re so proud of everything they’ve achieved”.
“Not only have we got a 100% pass rate across both years, but 59% of those Year 13s are leaving with at least one A*-B grade, and three students leave us with three A*s-As”.
