Record haul of GCSE results at Wellington School
“Matravers School is a “Progress 8″ pilot school and has secured record-breaking combined best A*-C in English and Maths of 66 per cent, 11 per cent up on last year’s figure”.

Science, history and modern foreign languages were the most improved or highest achieving subjects.
Susan added: “These excellent results show just how hard students and staff have worked and are a tribute to their commitment to outstanding teaching and learning”.
STAFF and pupils were glowing after a 7% rise in their GCSE results.
This year is the first year that further education colleges have implemented study programmes in maths and English GCSEs for its students.
Student Eleanor Cole who achieved seven A* and two A grades summed up the mood by stating: “What an incredible day, I can’t really believe it’s all over, but I am so happy”.
“I congratulate all the students on their results and know that many will be back in the sixth form in September”.
This year’s top performing students were Shauna Burke who gained ten A* grades and one grade A and Lauren Pinkney who achieved nine A* and three A grades. “We continue to strive for the best possible outcomes for our students”.
At North Walsham High School students were looking to what the future may now hold for them as they picked up their GCSE results.
“To achieve 73% for 5 or more A*-C with English and Maths is fantastic, and when you consider the challenging target for this cohort was 66% it emphasises what they have achieved”.
