RECORD: Jos Buttler’s fastest ODI century for England off 46 balls
Buttler, who already held the record of being the fastest Englishman to an ODI ton when he reached the landmark off 61 balls against Sri Lanka at Lord’s in 2014, improved on his mark to reach three figures off just 46 balls this time.

Pakistan raced away to 71 for two in the powerplay phase with Mohammad Hafeez (37) and Babar Azam (51) building a 65-run stand for the third wicket, scoring at more than six runs an over.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan summed up the feelings of many when he tweeted: ‘3 run outs and a few iffy shots from Pakistan.
Only two teams have done better; South Africa overtook Australia’s 435 at the Wanderers in 2006, and India got the better of Australia, chasing 360 in Jaipur in 2013.
The two batsmen never looked in hurry as they took the singles and when the loose balls came they got the treatment they deserved.
England spinners Adil Rashid (3-78) and Moeen Ali (3-53) shared six wickets.
“Getting back to what I do well, the basics, and thinking about the game logically is what is going to help me”.
This four-match ODI series comes shortly after Pakistan claimed the three-match Test series 2-0.
His century off 46 deliveries broke his own England record and he hit eight sixes – another national best – and 10 fours.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Tuesday’s fixture is the subject of an inquiry by officials from the global Cricket Council’s anti-corruption and security unit (ACSU).
Root followed Roy an over later, stumped attempting to reverse sweep Azhar Ali, but that only served to clear the way for Buttler to take over following his move up the order.
England then bowled their hosts out for 271 in 40.4 overs to wrap up victory by 84 runs and a 3-1 series success.
England scored 355 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
The duo added 140 runs for the second wicket, providing an excellent platform for a ideal finish although the partnership was broken when Roy holed out at long-off trying to hit Yasir Shah (1-57) for a six.
“We were lost for words in that changing room”, said captain Eoin Morgan.
His century was fittingly brought up with a towering six and his subsequent celebration revealed the emotions of a mixed tour, which saw him dropped from the Test team, as he launched himself into the Duabi night sky in delight.
His second half-century came in just 16 balls.
While pursuing the huge target, Pakistan were off to brisk start straightaway, Azhar Ali taking charge on English bowlers, The News Tribe.com reported.

“It was really satisfying for me and for us to win the series with this group of guys was fantastic”, man-of-the-series Buttler said at the presentation ceremony. He didn’t do anything wrong as a ‘keeper, he just didn’t get any runs.
