Records could reveal more of claim boy told Paterno of abuse
The Washington Post reports an unnamed victim who claims Sandusky molested him “while attending a football camp at Penn State at age 14” testified in 2014 “that he specifically told Paterno” about the assault, and that he was ignored.

“I was shocked, disappointed, offended”, John Doe 150 said of Paterno’s reaction. Most significantly, there is extensive evidence that stands in stark contrast to this claim.
Paterno told him, according to the victims’ report, “I have a football season to worry about”.
A Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas judge ordered hundreds of pages of documents unsealed in lawsuits filed between the university and one of its insurance companies, Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association Insurance Co., regarding reimbursements for the settlements.
John Doe 150 says he told several adults about the incident, then sought out Paterno to tell him what occurred.
Among the documents is a September 2015 expert opinion from Raymond Williams, a partner in Northport Financial LLC in Cranford, N.J., which says Penn State should have disclosed to PMA information about Sandusky’s “inappropriate sexual contact with minors that it had received over the years”.
A lawyer for Bradley, now a coach at UCLA, said they’re reviewing the court documents.
“Greg had come into his office white as a ghost and said he just saw Jerry doing something to a boy in the shower”, McQueary testified. Many believed Paterno helped cover up Sandusky’s sexual abuses, but others believe Paterno was unjustly fired from his coaching position and his legacy was maliciously tainted. He coached at Penn State for 31 years, serving as the defensive coordinator from 1977 until his retirement in 1999.
The order also cited 1987 and 1988 references to unnamed assistant coaches witnessing the contact between Sandusky and unidentified children and a 1988 case that allegedly was referred to Penn State’s athletic director.
He said Sarra may have said something like, “oh, sorry”, and immediately walked out, after which Sandusky kissed him on the forehead.
A 2014 deposition by a man called John Doe 101 said that Sandusky fondled him inside a crowded Penn State pool and that coaches often saw the boy showering with Sandusky.
In that testimony, McQueary states that Bradley told him he had heard of Sandusky’s abuse before, including from another assistant in the 1990s. He determined that because Penn State’s president and trustees were unaware of the allegations, he would not bar claims from that time frame from insurance coverage.
State over sex assault claims involving ex-assistant coach Jerry Sandusky says the payments of as much as $5.5 million appeared high to “extremely high”. Sandusky was sentenced to a minimum of 30 years in prison after his conviction in 2012.

“Also present in the analytical process may have been a concern about publicity and a desire to resolve the matters very quickly”, he said.
