The American Red Cross says it has an emergency need for blood.
“We are grateful for those who have already stepped up this summer to give and want to remind those who are eligible that hospital patients are still counting on them to roll up a sleeve”, Gehrig said.
Adrian Grieve, executive director of the American Red Cross Tri-County Chapter, which covers Schuylkill, Berks and Chester counties, said more blood donations are needed.
As a token of appreciation, all community blood drive donors will receive a $5 Amazon.com gift card (via email), a complimentary admission ticket to Madame Tussauds Wax Museum Hollywood and a voucher for up to 50% off San Diego Padres tickets, while supplies last. Going online in advance to complete a RapidPass health history questionnaire can reduce wait times.
