Red Flag warning in effect – Fires could develop quickly
A fire weather watch means that conditions are expected to make fire risks critical.

The humidity is expected to fall to as low as 18 percent across south Alabama this afternoon, and winds will be out of the north at 10-15 miles per hour, gusting to 20 miles per hour.
A combination of strong winds, low humidity and lots of dry material like leaves triggered the fire threat warning for today. We will start at 50 degrees at sunrise and slowly warm to near 80 during the afternoon.
Today, outdoor burning is not recommended as conditions for spreading fire are getting elevated. The chance of showers comes Friday and Saturday.

The National Weather Service says there is a very high potential for wildfire in much of Oklahoma, however rain is expected across the state later this week. Springfield, Bloomington-Normal, and Peoria all recorded snowfall of less than one-half of an inch that day.
