“Usually, my wife and I adopted a family”, said Mongin. “Without Salvation Army kids would not have Christmas”.
The need in Milwaukee is great.
The Salvation Army Fox Cities red kettle campaign ends on Christmas Eve, and the nonprofit is hoping for a strong finish. On Monday, December 21st, he was soliciting donations at the Pick ‘n Save store on Highway 100 in Wauwatosa.
“This has been a wonderful experience and we already have plans for making it even better next year”, Mrs. Gardiner said. “We serve over 90,000 individuals on average each year throughout the Portland Metro area, and this will be a significant help to meet this need”. About 82 cents of every dollar raised is used to support those services in almost 9,000 communities nationwide.
“That’s whey we’ve been starting a little earlier”. “Our students understand that all of their hard work and donations benefit others right here in our community”.
