Mazda has announced the 2016 CX-9 will be priced from $31,520 when it goes on sale in the United States later this spring. One of the upgrades that accounts for the price bump is the new turbocharged engine.
On the Sport trim, the 2016 Mazda CX-9 comes standard with LED headlights and taillights, cloth upholstery, an electronic parking brake, 18-inch alloy wheels, rearview camera, trailer stability assist, and the Mazda Connect infotainment system with a 7-inch display. The optional sport package adds heated seats, a power driver’s seat and heated door mirrors. It’ll set you back $44,915. The only available option for the CX-9 GS is Mazda’s predictive i-ACTIV AWD system, which is available for an additional $2,500, taking the MSRP up to $37,800.
The Touring model adds an auto-dimming rearview mirror, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, leather seats, keyless entry, a power liftgate and an 8-inch screen. Rounding out the changes are rear backup sensors, second-row retractable sunshades, SiriusXM satellite radio, and automatic Smart City Brake Support.
Finally, the fourth and final trim level is all-new to Mazda, and takes refinement to a whole new level for the CX-9.
For $41,070, you can get the CX-9 Grand Touring with 20-inch wheels aluminum interior trim, a head-up display and a suite of active safety features. For $50,100, the new Signature trim includes all equipment from the GT with Technology Package and further enhances with premium interior features such as Nappa leather upholstery in a rich Chroma Brown colour, open-pore rosewood on the centre console and door switch panels, signature grille illumination, LED console and door trim illumination, and LED interior lighting.

Available premium paint colors include Snowflake White Pearl Mica for $200, and Soul Red Metallic and Machine Gray Metallic for $300 each.
