The team announced that they will play the Cincinnati Bengals at London’s Wembley Stadium on October 30, 2016.

Neither the 49ers nor the Raiders will be involved in the London series next season. From our perspective, trading one Sunday afternoon game against the Redskins for more prime-time games and playoff games is a big win for The Banks and the city. The Raiders played there in 2014.
On October 23, the Rams will face an NFC East opponent to be determined at Twickenham, the home stadium for England’s rugby union team. Kickoff time is yet to be announced. We’ll know the start time at a later date, but the game will be played on Sunday, October 2 at Wembly Stadium in London. They could also become the first team to play consecutive games in London as well.
“I think for us, we want to continue to play more and more games going forward, so with the new Spurs stadium announced [as an National Football League venue] for 2018 we’ll look to do four per year”.
Goodell traveled to the Bay Area to meet with 49ers CEO Jed York, a member of the NFL’s eight-person digital media committee, to speak with Silicon Valley executives.
If the Rams and Washington finish in the same spot in their divisions, the Redskins would be the first team to stay in London and play back-to-back games, in this case, both as the visitor.
Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley termed the game as “an opportunity for us to show an worldwide audience what Cincinnati is all about”.
This year, all three games in London sold out. The team has played preseason games in Mexico City, Mexico (2000), Tokyo, Japan (2005), and Toronto, Canada (2010) but has never played a regular season game outside of the country. If the Jaguars can string together wins in multiple years, they have a good chance of actually becoming London’s team. The Jaguars didn’t want to give up a big home game against the Green Bay Packers, and they have other enticing showdowns with up-and-comers in the Minnesota Vikings and the Oakland Raiders.
