Coach Jay Gruden said Friday that the team doesn’t know yet whether Hall will need surgery.

Hall will visit foot specialist Dr. Robert Anderson in North Carolina.

In a moment of frustration and disappointment, with cornerback DeAngelo Hall walking into the Redskins tunnel into the locker room after injuring his toe in the third quarter, the veteran received some encouragement from an unlikely source.

There’s also a bit of good news on the injury front for Hall. Hall, 31, played just three games last season before suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in his left foot. “Knowing DeSean, he’s got a chance to be back sooner than we think”.

Middle linebacker Perry Riley Jr., who missed Thursday’s game with a strained left calf, is making progress, “but it’s hard to gauge when it’s going to be full-go again, ” Gruden said. “He’s a unique human being in a lot of ways”. Those hamstrings can be tricky.

Jackson caught a combined nine passes for 243 yards and a touchdown in two games vs. the Eagles last season. Defensive end Kedric Golston broke a bone in one of his hands late in the first quarter but was able to return, as was right tackle Morgan Moses, who sprained his left elbow but did not miss a play.
