Redskins’ Josh Norman upset about having to take drug test after game
Norman said it was the first time he has ever been tested on the day of a game. But they kept on giving him the ball and he had some good runs, moved the chains a few times and, perhaps most importantly, kept the pressure off of rookie quarterback Dak Prescott.

Norman has been thrown at eight times when acting as the primary coverage defender, allowed three receptions for 40 yards, and has a pair of pass breakups in each game.
Unfortunately, as Cousins targeted Pierre Garçon in the middle of the end zone on third down, Cowboys safety Barry Church stepped in front for an interception. He was appalling in the red zone.
“I felt like I needed to work not off-schedule, but just needed to let the play develop a little longer”, Cousins explained after the game. His Redskins are 0-2 and sit at the bottom of the NFC East standings. He was the one who made the play. On the ground, Matt Jones rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown in 13 attempts while Cousins added 20 yards in two attempts. Quarterbacks are supposed to make their money in the red zone. We have all the making to be a great offense, but right now we’re not great.
Despite losing twice at home, and facing all sorts of problem areas, Washington Redskins coach Jay Gruden wants everyone to “stay positive” and “understand we still have 14 games left” and believe that “all our goals are still reachable”. We’ve got the New York Giants as soon as we leave here, so he can watch the tape, find out what’s going on if he’s not sure what the indecision might be, why he’s missing some throws, but you know, it’s a tough game. He also said that Cousins “missed some throws [he] normally makes”. “And sometimes, if he feels like he’s not playing to the standards that we all have set for him, he feels like he’s letting everybody down”.
Let’s take a dive into the most ridiculous National Football League story of the year thus far, the controversy that is John Wall appearing at a Redskins game while wearing a Cowboys jersey.
I don’t think we’re that far down the road with Cousins.

Sticking with the offense, the Redskins again did not show much more commitment to the run than they did in Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. “First two games, the proof is in the pudding, the numbers”. “We all have to play better; we have to coach better”. It’s reasons for a win or a loss. We have a very skilled offensive group, we really do.
