The Redskins improved to 4-5.

The New Orleans Saints traveled to Washington D.C. on Sunday to take on the Redskins’ 20th-ranked passing offense. After forcing New Orleans to fall behind the down and distance with a negative run on first down and short pickup on second, Washington’s Stephen Paea got his first full sack of the season on third down. Only Steve Young has more with 31.

Cousins victimized a porous New Orleans secondary to the tune of 324 yards and four touchdowns.

As ESPN Stats and Information pointed out, Cooks had only four touchdown catches in the first 17 games of his career before the streak began.

Ingram, meanwhile, was relegated to only receiving screens the entire second half.

This was also cornerback DeAngelo Hall’s first game back from a toe injury. The game started out how you would expect: With a 96 yard TD drive from Washington to jump out to an early lead on a PA bootleg to Jordan Reed from 18 yards out.

Roethlisberger was 22 for 33 for 379 yards and three touchdowns. Two plays later, Brees hit Brandin Cooks on a quick slant route to beat Bashaud Breeland and tie the game. “When you put up these type of numbers, you rush for over 200 yards and throw for over 300, you can’t single anyone out, but you can single out the offensive line that played a heck of a football game”.

Cousins hadn’t completed a scoring pass of longer than 7 yards this season.

Kirk Cousins may have had a flawless passer rating on Sunday, but his postgame handoff was even better. The Redskins record is now at 4-5 and 4-1 at home.

A face mask penalty by Baltimore Ravens linebacker Elvis Dumervil as time expired set up a 53-yard goal by Jason Myers that provided the Jacksonville Jaguars with an improbable 22-20 victory Sunday. That formula finally cracked against a rookie quarterback. But Dumervil grabbed Bortles’ facemask and slung him to the ground.

The Washington defense responded after giving up a huge play by forcing a three-and-out on the next Saints possession. “We play an undefeated Carolina Panthers next week, so they can enjoy this win for a few hours but then it’s back to work Monday and Tuesday”.
