Redskins outside linebacker Junior Galette suffered another Achilles tear and will miss the 2016 season, according to multiple reports.
He had worked his way back from that injury and was supposed to be ready for the start of training camp Thursday so that he could be in position to help Washington this season as a pass-rusher.
I’m told #Redskins OLB Junior Galette has torn his Achilles and is out for the season.
ESPN says the injury occurred Sunday while Galette, 28, was performing football drills.
Galette, who recorded 22 sacks in 2013 and 2014 combined, instead signed a one-year, $1 million deal that featured $500,000 in bonuses and $2.5 million in incentives. He was held out of spring practices, but all along, the team said he would be ready for camp. New Orleans picked up Galette after he went undrafted out of Stillman in 2010.

Galette was coming off of back-to-back double-digit sack seasons with New Orleans prior to being released. It is also a blow to the Redskins.
