GIANTS ON THE RUN: While they rank No. 29 in the league in rushing with an 83.4-yard average, the Giants are starting to show signs that the ground game is improving.

NY started the second quarter on their own 26 after a punt. RB Rashad Jennings also had 52 yards on 18 carries, including a 2-yard touchdown run in the second quarter… Jackson has 100-plus yards receiving in three consecutive games and four of five, and Garcon had four catches for 94 yards last week.
Beckham finished with five catches for 44 yards, giving him 101 catches for the season.
“This isn’t my first time dealing with this, ” Cousins said through a bit of a forced smile. After a Jordan Reed touchdown the Redskins defense gave up a field goal.

The game was much more meaningful to the Redskins, who needed a win to secure a playoff berth. TE Jerrell Adams (shoulder) and CB Coty Sensabaugh (ankle) were also out for the Giants.
