Redskins sign Galette to $4 million, 1-year deal
Galette was under contract with the Redskins last season, but missed all of 2015 after tearing his Achilles during a practice before the regular season.

Prior to a video surfacing of an alleged violent incident between Junior Galette and a woman at a Florida beach last June, he was considered one of the top young pass rushers in the entire NFL.
The deal, which Galette will sign on Wednesday, is a one-year pact worth up to $4.1 million, giving both sides what they had long wanted. Blackmon’s agent says the cornerback has re-signed with the Redskins on a two-year deal. Galette had 22 quarterback sacks in 2013 and 2014 and 31.5 sacks for his career.
The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the contract had not been announced by the team.
Galette was cut a year ago by New Orleans after back-to-back double-digit sack seasons.

Washington hopes Galette can provide a major pass rushing force to complement Ryan Kerrigan on the other side, to go along with LB Preston Smith, who led all National Football League rookies in 2015 with 8 sacks. I’ve never had that.
