Starting in place of the suspended Le’Veon Bell, DeAngelo Williams ran for 143 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries. There’s no way to know whether it would have made a difference, but I’m guessing that decision to let a #2 corner cover the #1 receiver in football might be revisited if Washington had the opportunity to do so. Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey knocked the ball out of Kerrigan’s hands, and Roethlisberger dived on it at his 13-yard line.

Defensive Line: The defensive line couldn’t get to Washington quarterback, Kirk Cousins, for any sacks.

During the national anthem, players and staff from the teams did more than just stand for the national anthem – they went onto the field to hold up the American flag with members of the armed forces. He was also present as the pass catching backup and has caught six balls for 28 yards.
The first 3 quarters of the game easily went to the Steelers with nearly no push back from the Redskins.
Via Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was asked if the Steelers were looking for any form of payback after the Bengals (specifically suspended linebacker Vontaze Burfict) either injured or slowed down their offensive stars a year ago.

At the Redskins’ 29, they had two choices – kick a field goal or go for the first down. No one can blame special teams for this loss against the Steelers.
