Redskins Working Out With Ravens Jimmy Clausen & Marlon Brown
Unlike the Baltimore Ravens, the Washington Redskins failed to sign their franchise tendered player in quarterback Kirk Cousins to a contract extension.

Clausen was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft, played with the Chicago Bears and then came to the Ravens last season when Joe Flacco was injured.
Now Cousins just needs to repeat his success of a season ago, which included a 4,166-yard, 29-touchdown effort, before he can really double down on his monetary demands.

When QB Kirk Cousins found his groove, Redskins won three consecutive games late in season to clinch NFC East. Cousins threw for 300 yards in all three victories to get Washington to playoffs, where it lost to Green Bay in NFC wild-card round. He was sacked three times in that time. While they’re under no delusions that he’s going to be a star, having bench players who have started games and put up meaningful snaps never hurts. His passer rating is 61.9. The Redskins’ receiving corps would also represent the most talented group of weapons he would ever have been surrounded by, so perhaps GM Scot McCloughan and head coach Jay Gruden think he has untapped potential that could be brought out by better pass-catchers. If Clausen is signed he will be the 3rd string quarterback to Cousins and backup Colt McCoy. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that wide receiver Marlon Brown went through the paces as he looks for a home for the 2016 season.
