Reebok payouts for UFC 202: ‘Diaz vs. McGregor 2’ totals $207500
Not really. McGregor’s star shines so bright that whenever he fights, he monopolizes the post-event conversation.

Now, the sports world is waiting on what’s next for McGregor. His answer? Let me get a full camp and prepare for a 6′ southpaw, a fighter type McGregor has never faced before. We’ll see. There’s a lot of stuff in the pipeline.
McGregor said he too was up for a third fight, but at the lighter weight of 155 pounds. After Saturday’s battle, there appears to be no doubt that the two fighters will meet again in the octagon to settle the score.
McGregor arrived to the press conference on crutches, explaining that he injured his shin through the multiple leg kicks he landed on Diaz. McGregor, though, has right-of-first-refusal for a bout against Aldo.
Have no doubt that we are going to get a third version of this.
Conor McGregor (blue gloves) stares down Nate Diaz (red gloves) after knocking him down with a left hand during UFC 202 at T-Mobile Arena.
Aldo wasn’t given an automatic rematch for the belt that he held for five years. “The interim 145 pound champion is a man that I KO’d in 13 seconds”. The three judges were damn close to unanimous in their decisions, all giving Rounds 1, 2, and 4 to McGregor, and Rounds 3 and 5 to Diaz.
“I’d love it. I was over the moon when I walked into that weigh-in and they (Irish fans) were all there”, he said. Then Diaz dominated the second round with accurate, well-timed boxing before finishing the exhausted McGregor with a rear naked choke.
The mumbling fighter then going on to call himself McGregor’s sensei, smoke from a vape pen and cackle: “I’m going to the after-party, he’s going to the hospital”. So I don’t know.
The Irishman defeated Nate Diaz in their long-awaited welterweight rematch, even though he ended the night on crutches with a painful lower leg injury.
“If you want this trilogy, it’s on my terms”, he said after the win.

Both men topped their previous payday when they first crossed paths as McGregor pocketed $1 million for his second-round submission loss to Diaz, who took home a flat salary of $500,000. Diaz made his most significant advances in rounds three and five, his sublime work in the middle stanza briefly but dramatically turning the tide in his favor. As the announcing team pointed out, he was picking his shots and controlling the distance throughout the fight, as opposed to loading up for big shots like he did the first fight. Will Diaz be able to weather the early storm, as he has in these two welterweight bouts?
