Reed: Bernie Sanders Took ‘Shortcut’ By Running As A Democrat
“I hope that other women feel the right to choose their candidate based on themselves and their families – that they can be independent-minded and they don’t feel owned by a particular political party, because that is really insulting”, Kleefisch said. The New Hampshire primary, seen as a critical indicator of the race, was taken decisively by Sanders with a significant 60% to 38% margin.

Sanders called the remark a “low blow”, explaining that he feels, despite “unprecedented Republican obstructionism”, the Obama administration has facilitated “enormous progress”.
Sanders portrayed himself as an Obama ally in the Senate and the successor to the Obama movement for change.
BEN CARSON (R), Republican Presidential Candidate: Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton will come along and say, it’s those evil rich people and that’s what’s causing you your problem. “I do not expect from someone running for the Democratic nomination to succeed President Obama”, Ms Clinton charged during the Democratic presidential debate.
Clinton sought to paint herself as the more experienced of the two, leaning heavily on times she advised President Obama on issues, and pointing out criticisms Sanders has made of him. He has cut state education spending deeply during his tenure, and Clinton expressed doubt that Walker and other GOP governors will go along with Sanders’ unapologetic spending and taxing plans. She said campuses need support services for victims and there needs to be fairness in both campus disciplinary and criminal justice proceedings.
Anybody who starts telling you that’s unrealistic or you can’t do that, I’ll tell you. “That’s a promise that can not be kept”.
However, Mr Sanders has struggled to convince some black groups with his message that a progressive economic agenda would help all disadvantaged Americans, regardless of race.
“We’re not going to dismantle everything”, he said. “The fight for $15 has shown me that’s not true”.
Sanders also repeated his accusation that Clinton is too beholden to the Wall Street interests she once represented as a US senator from NY, noting her Super PAC received $15 million in donations from Wall Street. “Why in God’s name does Wall St make huge campaign contributions?” “I guess just for the fun of it. They want to throw money around”.
“I am not asking people to support me because I’m a woman; I’m asking people to support me because I think I’m the most qualified, experienced and ready person to be the president and the commander-in-chief”, Clinton said at the PBS Newshour debate. Sanders’s 22-point margin was one of the largest in the history of non-incumbent presidential primaries in the Granite State.
Bernie Sanders – the only man on the stage – for his part, touted his “lifetime 100 percent pro-choice voting record” and his support for equal-pay legislation. Both states are known for having almost all-white populations. Here’s the former First Lady, senator and secretary of State taking aim at Senator Sanders plans to expand Medicare beyond the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare): “If it’s Medicare for all, then you no longer have the Affordable Care Act, because the Affordable Care Act, as you know very well, is based on the insurance system, based on exchanges, based on a subsidy system”. She later added this was the “kind of criticism that we’ve heard from Senator Sanders about our president I expect from Republican”.

“I absolutely believe what I said, that women should help one another, but this was the wrong context and the wrong time to use that line”, Albright wrote. “I suspect you may have”, Sanders shot back.
