Refreshed 2017 Toyota Corolla gets new safety, technology features
The Corolla, one of the most iconic auto nameplates ever, is 50 this year, and to mark the milestone, Toyota is wheeling out a 50th Anniversary Special Edition for USA. The exterior is also marked with a 50 Anniversary Edition exterior badge and complex-LED headlights. A more aggressive front grille and two new exterior colors give Corolla a modern look to match the spirited driving experience.

All Corolla vehicle grades have available Toyota Safety Sense-P, which is a host of safety features including pre-collision system with pedestrian detection function, dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist function and automatic high beams.
The 2017 Toyota Corolla 50 Anniversary Special Edition model builds upon the 2017 Corolla SE trim.
Customers can order a moonroof, and the interior features “Black Cherry” contrast stitching for the steering wheel, shift boot, center armrest, and the seat upholstery.

“Close to a quarter of all Corollas sold in Australia previous year were sedans, and the advanced design and new technology offered in this upgrade is further proof of Toyota’s commitment to “Kaizen”, the process of continuous improvement”. The side has also been touched with new chrome trim for the door handles and new alloy designs for the 16 and 17 inch sizes. The Toyota Corolla, one of the industry’s pillars of sensibility, straightforward packaging and reliability, is entering its 50th year of existence, and with it comes a midcycle refresh. The Japanese automaker – the largest in the world but also the biggest company back home – has announced the reworked Corolla sedan will be delivering a “more prestigious exterior styling” in Europe starting this summer. It will be available from fall 2016 in the States. Toyota has not specified if it will offer this model in other markets with such a specification.
