“I’m here, I’m ready to go”, Bush said. “For most of my career I’ve played with a bigger back for a one-two punch combination, but now getting a chance to play with Shady and us complementing each other with our running styles I think it’ll be exciting”.

The pressure is on for him to showcase a return to form after failing to do so last season, especially if he wants to keep playing for a while.

General manager Doug Whaley told the AP that he was scheduled to meet Bush early in the afternoon. “We had targeted Reggie because we feel a player of his caliber can help us in a variety of areas”.

2015 5th round pick Karlos Williams was a nice find last season for the Bills but he is suspended for the first four games of the regular season.

When Ryan was Jets coach and Bush was a running back for the Dolphins in 2012, Ryan said his defense had to “put some hot sauce” on the the shifty runner.

The team said cornerback Mike Jenkins (broken bone in hand) broke a bone in his right hand in practice on Saturday and, Arians said, was to undergo surgery Monday. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman has already discussed the possibility of using the one-two punch at running back on the field at the same time, attempting to give defenses an extra dose of athleticism alongside Taylor. He is a great runner who has speed and can hit the hole.

At 31-years old, Bush is coming of a meniscus tear and has spent the last two years dealing with various injuries. The decal will be on the helmets all of training camp.

“Hey, let’s be honest, that’s somewhere we want to be better at”, Ryan said, assessing Buffalo’s return game after practice Monday.

Interested teams are asked to attend the meeting.

Throughout his career, Bush has always been at or just below replacement level on the ground, with just two 1,000-plus seasons in his late twenties.
