Relay for Life fundraising starts; includes golf cart relay Saturday

Tomlin is also making plans for an event to mark Cancer Survivors Day on Sunday, June 5.
This year’s event took place on Friday, May 20.
To donate, Theriaque said the American Cancer Society has created an app for smartphones which allows people to raise funds or donate right from their phones.
The Cruisers participated in the 2015 Wilkes Relay for the first time past year.
In Southington, the theme is “Paint Your World Purple”, which highlights why you relay and why it’s important to you. A freshman in 2013, she and several other students formed a fundraising team when the Relay for Life Berkshire County Central South relocated from Pittsfield to the secondary school in Great Barrington. “Cancer survivors run the first lap, caregivers run the second lap and everyone run the third lap”.

Rochelle Holman, the event’s ACS staff partner, said the Shelby Township Relay for Life is the 12th-largest in the state of MI in terms of funds raised.
