A full-page jacket advertisement of Reliance Jio featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi in blue jacket appeared on national dailies, “The Times of India” and ‘Hindustan Times’. Ambani emphasised the benefits of digitalisation and said in his speech that Jio is dedicated to realising the Prime Minister’s inspiring vision of “Digital India” for 1.2 billion Indians.
Jio’s data plans are voice-free, low-data-cost services geared for video delivery.

India’s Reliance Jio Infocomm has revealed plans to finally officially launch mobile services on Monday, offering free voice calls and heavily discounted mobile data services compared to current market prices.
Additionally, there is no relationship between data and voice regarding usage limit.
“My number is covered by the company’s corporate plan and so for me, it doesn’t matter if the service provider is Vodafone or Jio as the company pays the bills”, said Ashish Goyal, a marketing executive with a leading corporate. Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Communications is aiming at signing up 100 million customers in the shortest possible time across the country. The service will offer free voice calling, no roaming charges and the lowest 4G service, among others.

Jio, on Friday, also announced that all existing test users will transition to the Jio welcome offer from Sep 5. Compared to the Preview Offer that many were using before the announcement of Welcome Offer, as they were able to enjoy truly unlimited data access at 4G speeds. “They will be less anxious about data consumption and charges and will be more inclined to consume the content they enjoy”, he said.
