Reliance Jio goes live with unlimited voice calling and more

Consumers across the country can avail Reliance Jio’s services from tomorrow, as the company opens its doors to all potential users having any 4G-enabled handset in an aggressive quest to garner 100 million subscribers.

Mr Tirumalai said he believed Jio’s tariff structure, if it resonates with customers, could usher in the entry of bundled voice and data plans in the country. Almost 20 brands including Sony, Sansui, Videocon, LG, Samsung, Micromax, Panasonic, Asus, TCL, Alcatel, HTC, Intex, Vivo, Gionee, Karbonn and Lava were part of the preview offer which provided free 90-day unlimited calls and high-speed mobile broadband trials to 4G smartphone users of these brands. The Reliance Jio sim which is getting quite a big buzz and is making history by getting most searches and response on the social media and in the reality world the people are getting insane over this sim. Voice calls are free, but the data consumed while video calls made on the Jio network will be deducted from your data-calling pack. While the 3G operators, Aircel and BSNL have also announced some special plans in the wake of Jio’s unlimited 4G data and voice offer. Users must locate the Wi-Fi hotspots and access from the same location.

Jio apps do not work on non-Jio networks.

Reliance Jio 4G services come packaged with various advantages for its users containing low 4G data prices. The plans and tariffs Reliance is providing is so cheap that customers will have to pay only Rs 50 for one GB of data, which has indeed started putting pressure on current telecom operators.

Users get only 100 local and national SMS free per day and cost thereafter remains unknown.

Postpaid users get unlimited data, but the speed gets down to 128Kbps once the allotted data is exhausted. Just wait for some time till someone from Jio offers you this preview plan. “The era of paying for voice calls is ending”, he added. “If the subscriber’s main account balance is Rs 20 or more, a number retention charge of Rs 20 will be automatically deducted and the non-usage period will be extended by 30 days”.

Huge throng of people were gathered outside these shops to buy the prized SIM card – which offers the cheapest tariff plan and the fastest data – two hours before the shops were opened.
